Hot. Hard. Long. Cold. Amazing. Beautiful. Tiring. Awesome.
These are just a few of the words I heard to describe the week-long high adventure that Jason, Leah, Adam and Emma went on this summer. The pace of life right now is such that I won't ask any of them to write about it, but here is the massive photo dump of their trip to South Dakota- Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Lake Sheridan, Mt. Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, and Wall Drug! They got to climb and swim and cliff jump and see Mt. Rushmore and camp through the cold nights and hike more miles than they expected and all in all they all had a fantastic time and I'm so proud of them for training and preparing and showing up to make these awesome memories. I heard from other leaders that Adam was a terrifying mountain goat, which wasn't new news to me, and that Emma and Camille spent every available moment in the hammock, pushed by Adam and Christian. Jason headed up the rear of every hike, Leah had fun in the older girls tent, and my favorite part was when they FaceTimed me and Noah from the summit of their highest, longest hike to show us a piece of the beauty they were enjoying!
