The amazing thing about blogging is that what seems so ordinary and exceptional for today will slowly morph into the treasured memories of yesterday. I look back on the blog and just can't believe that life used to be so good and so different than the good that it is today. My babies were so small! And so sweet! And so funny! And they still are sweet and funny and amazing, and thankfully the blog helps me remember the slow but steady transition that is growing up together.
Today's today looks like music - Noah in the DSM Youth Symphony means a weekly date with him and gorgeous architecture in the Temple for Performing Arts, which used to be a Masonic Temple.
"Today", the kids are preparing a quartet musical number and shared some of their current favorites with each other.
"Today", Daddy's corn went commercial! This is an accomplishment 10 years in the making and we are all so excited for him (if not fully appreciative of what this means).
"Today" we make ebelskeivers with a pan that I borrowed from the DSM Library of Things. They were delicious, scrubbing the pan clean was not. The kids are often helpful and curious about all that goes on in the kitchen.
"Today" I drove Leah and her friends to the Dome for the semi-finals football game. What a very senior thing to do.
I was there too, just on the outside of the dome, walking and podcasting.
Today we're all working on understanding what emotions and moods different times of the month bring.
Today I work in the school when I can.

Today we finally marked off the Tour de Stake 4.0. We visited every unit and ended the tour with a Thanksgiving feast with the Newton branch! Time to start all over again.
Our oven died the week before Thanksgiving. We have now replaced every appliance in our kitchen, and are hoping that the washer and dryer will hang on for a few more months. Having replaced so many appliances in the last few years, I'd say that fridge was the worst to lose, washer is second place worst to be without, followed by dryer, then dishwasher, oven and then microwave. Overall, I much prefer when everything just works!
Today, I got to visit Bangsy! My best little school bird buddy.
Actually I was there to see Noah perform in a trio for Titanic day. He used his shoe as the rock stop!
Emma and Adam auditioned for OPUS choirs, and we got to see their performances in Ames! They were incredible - they put a lot of hard work into these choirs and it was so rewarding to see the results.

Adam completed this year's LEGO Ninjago Advent calendar just in time for December!
We continue to enjoy the DSM Symphony- this month I got to enjoy Gershwin with these handsome boys.
Adam's Jazz in the Hall was a fun night! The cafeteria transformed to a jazz club.
Our today's are filled with lots of reasons to be happy!
