I Miss This Girl

I took some pictures of classic Leah poses before she left for college. Now that she's been gone for a few months, I'm extra glad I did! Our house just doesn't feel the same without Leah in it.
I miss this face!!

Where We Live, Late Summer Edition

In late summer, everything shifts from bright greens to the beautiful, muted colors of the impending fall and harvest.
The friendly (or, more likely, terrified) neighborhood snapping turtle made a Sunday afternoon appearance!
A double rainbow!
This beautiful neighborhood cat stopped by for a visit.
What a wonderful world!

Meanwhile, In Iowa

Jason did a great job of keeping everyone alive while I was gone, and during the first week of school, no less! There was plenty of life happening in Iowa while I was getting Leah settled into Utah.
Jason said I'm the one who usually advocates for Laney's enrichment (true) so he tried to include her in the fun while I was gone. Don't they both look thrilled about it?
I was so happy to be back with my family and my pup! And what a new concept to have a piece of my heart permanently 1,000 miles away.
Mom! Don't ever leave me again!
Movie in the park!
High alert watch dog, but she did really well.
Falltime is the best time to visit Jester Park!
Noah was my best hiking buddy this time. Hum-bachi-boo-ba!
Just because you're the youngest and often alone doesn't mean you shouldn't get to experience the joy of Jester Park in the fall!
Back to school means back to subbing for me! Noah is a great morning office buddy and always enjoys our secret (candy) handshake at lunchtime.
Bangsy's gone! Who is this imposter?!
So much Marchmasters fun in September!
Adam decided to ask Grace to homecoming at marching band practice - with a colorguard flag!
According to the reports, it was High School Musical worthy, complete with a mic request for everyone's attention and for Grace to "go down the road" to homecoming together, and then the two of them running across the field toward each other.
We took a sunny trip to the temple in September!
Noah and I finished reading Matilda, so we all watched the movie!
We all love a good book!
I love this face so much.

Sigh, no end in sight for Emma's braces just yet.

We had visitors in September- Uncle Jesse and Auntie Emily came to see us!
We took them out for an untentionally sunset kayak ride.
Noah always loves a good chess-mate.
They helped me make a tree for Primary.
Wow, Valley Singers are quite impressive!
Back to school, back to business, back to loving life in September!
