Around here we classify holidays based on who's birthday it is. Christmas = Jesus, Halloween = Grandma, and Independence Day = America. And this was a fantastic Fourth!
We hosted a BBQ at our house, complete with a fish pond, bean bag toss, and face painting.
Jason teamed up with Leah for the three legged race,
then guided Adam through the "assisted walkers" round.
Apparently Adam does not perform well under pressure.
And now, three days later, we are still trying to catch up on the sleep we lost by staying up so late to set off fireworks, we're all scratching our impressive collections of bug bites, and I keep making myself s'mores. It's America's birthday- I can't help myself!

The picture of Adam is so funny! Poor guy. He was all smiles at the beginning of the race:).
