It's too cold to play outside, so we've been entertaining ourselves around the house lately.
Can't a mother get one minute of alone time!?
Lots of reading!
What do other moms do for fun on the cold winter days that don't allow for outside excursions? It's only December, and we're already feeling a little bit of cabin fever!

It's really fun to make edible play dough(cooks.com for recipe's) and cut out shapes add fun things like raisins, we're painting little sun catchers from the dollar store but Leah's a little young for that, if she likes to draw Crayola makes markers that only mark on the paper it comes with(totally awesome) we make forts in the living room, make tunnels out of the wrapping paper cores and shoot hotwheels down them as fast as we can(yes girls love this as much as boys)big wood puzzles are fun and anything to make an instrument...you can have a small rock band practice with an old chocolate milk container and a wooden spoon! p.s. I love the pic with her behind the shower curtain, that was too cute.
Finger paint with pudding and make blanket forts! And I personally liked Rachael's "Birthday Party for Daddy" idea, although Leah is young for that too.
I have to get out of the house once a day! It doesn't matter how many fun things we can do inside, I just need a little trip out.
*library story time
*grocery store
*Pet's Mart to look at the crazy birds and fish
*our mall has an indoor playground
*visit a friend's house with little kids
*take lunch to daddy at work (45 min. away) we either eat in the car at the park or outside the car if it's nice
But of course it's not snowing here; so if you can't even make it to your car you'd better stay home.

We LOVE any kind of arts and crafts! Hide N' Seek is a fun indoor game too!
