¡Hola a todos! New week, new area! I'm in the same ward but in a bigger town closer to the border now. Its been fun to meet the people here and get to know the area! Highlights:
️ Driving - i get to drive now!!
its been fun and also hard because I'm kind of directionally challenged, but Google Maps has my back
️ Knocking - we did a knock bout with a super sweet girl from our ward who is about to turn in her papers! She is awesome and it was so fun to have her with us!
️ meal calendar miracle - last week we had no member meals... we didn't know if it was just because the signup didn't get passed around or if we weren't reaching out to the right people, but it was not fun. This week, we also thought we had no meals again. We were reaching out to some people to see if they'd be willing to have us over, and then we found somebody who had the meal calendar!! We have a meal every day this week!!!

Bug of the Week
Not too many crazy bugs to report on this week thankfully (no bugs in this new apartment!) but I did see a pretty moth while we were knocking!
Spanish word of the week: milagro = miracle
I have been trying to seek and expect miracles these past few weeks and there are so many every day! The people we meet, the beautiful sunsets, member meals - there's lots to be grateful for here and everywhere!

To explain my email title, if we as the missionaries work with God (1+1), great things happen. BUT if missionaries plus God plus members work together, miracles happen! It was hard to understand this before my mission, but we NEED to work with members in order to be successful. Us missionaries can knock all we want and hope to find someone, but if a member can introduce us to someone they know who is interested and continue to meet with them? So much more productive and powerful! So meet with the missionaries in your area and learn how you can support them because they need you! If you haven't read The Power of Everyday Missionaries by Clay Christensen, I'd highly recommend it! It makes member missionary work feel manageable and exciting. Also listen to the talke "Witnesses Unto Me" by Elder Holland this week if you get a chance! Its such a good one.
Thank you for all the emails this week, they brighten my day! God loves you all! Love,
Hermana Morales

but thankfully I'll still see her all the time! We really thought we were going to be together for another transfer, but now all of our second transfer plans are gone
It's so interesting how you get to know someone really well for 6 weeks and you can hope that you can be together for another transfer, but you really have to make the time count while you while you have it. So actually "never put off until tomorrow what can be done today" because you never know what could be your last day with an awesome companion!

and I had to catch it and put it in a cup and take him outside. Basically it was the worst experience of my life
i use this word all the time in our lessons because with Jesus Christ, we can overcome all of the trials we have and mistakes that we've made. It's important for all of us to remember that we're not alone on our journey through life!
luckily our member was so brave and just swept him off of the porch, but he was HUGE and the member said that it eats scorpions! I'll attach a picture at the bottom (if you don't want to see it I'll make it the last picture)
what are your favorite General Conference talks for motivation? I hope you all have an amazing week!!!
