Center Grove Orchard

It was a small miracle that we found a day in October to go to Center Grove Orchard for our traditional day at the pumpkin patch. We picked a good, sunny day!
After that one time that I made a U-turn on a highway, this is surely the biggest rule we've ever broken, and boy is it a fun one!
Nothing screams 'you are really getting too big for some of these attractions' like riding a pig, a cow, and a goat.
Gyatt!  (Sorry about that, Adam.)
Every inch of CGO is filled not only with fun, but with years of memories and laughs and milestones. We love this place, even if we can't enjoy it in all the same ways as we did when these cuties were little.
We'll always enjoy the fudge!
Emma was not interested in getting buried this year.
Adam didn't even attempt to crawl through the Tunnel of Time.
The Three Little Dramatized Pigs-

We opted to pick pumpkins out of the piles this year, rather than the patch. As is tradition, Adam was the last to decide, but even he did it in record time this year.
I love all of these fall colors, and I love these faces!
Another happy year at CGO- check!

October Updates

October was filled with music and fun for our family! Marching band nights and orchestra days and choir performances galore!
Homecoming traditions!  There is something beautiful about having a school community that you anticipate celebrating traditions with year after year.
Adam took vocal rest very seriously in preparation for all-state choir auditions. Everyone loved his sign!
My fall hiking buddy this year was Grammy Q!
And Laney, of course.
We enjoyed  the best ice cream one last time for the year.
Central honor choir for Emma! She has made some really sweet new friends this year.
Emma played the INCREDIBLE role of Katherine in Newsies, Jr. She was made for this role, and she nailed it! She worked so hard to perfect her big solo, knew her lines perfectly, and looked amazing in her fancy lady reporter costumes. We love the Stilwell drama department, and this was a core memory that she will always remember- we all will!
Grammy Q came into town for the occasion!
We hosted the cast party - this is a crazy, fun group of kids!
Noah joined in on the Newsies craze!
In October, we enjoyed general conference - our beloved prophet is now Dallin H. Oaks.
It was a beautiful fall weekend!
This massive roll of conference store tickets has served us so well over the last 10 or so years. I have tried many different games and activities over the years to keep conference engaging and enriching. Handing out tickets to spend in the conference store has been a long-standing hit.
In October, Adam and Grace went to homecoming! Emma loved learning a new skill - making their  corsage and bonbonnière!
She helped Adam practice putting them on too.
This is mostly the same group Adam went to homecoming with last year. It's a fun group of friends, one of many groups of kids that Adam spends his days with!
Emma and I went to the TS12 movie!
We spent a lot of time with Gwenny.
I love these cute church-going babies.
And I love firesides by the fire pit.
And whatever this is.
