Music Class

Parents are invited to music class at the elementary school every spring, and this year I got to attend both Leah and Adam's class.  It was so much fun to see the singing, dancing, clapping, stomping, chasing, giggling, and learning that they do in there each week.  

They both love the music teacher, Mrs. Versteeg (or First Egg, or Verstegasaurus, as she tells them her name is).  She is engaging and funny and teaches them all kinds of things, includings rhythms, the solfege major scale, dances, how to sing properly (not belting it out like pop stars do), the real meaning of nursery rhymes like Humpty Dumpty, and most of all, how to love music.  What more could a music loving mama ask for?
