So Long School!

School's out!!  We were all happy to leave this year behind, but not without a bunch of presentations and parties and stacks of papers to sort through first.

But finally the kids made it to their last days of school- first Noah's-

and then the big kids.
I think everyone grew five inches this school year.

After school we celebrated with the traditional popsicles and ice cream party.

All of the kids huddled under what little shade they could find before donning their swimsuits and playing with the hoses.
Then we were ready to bring on summer!  But first, we had to sort through the piles of paper that came flooding into our house.  Here were a few of my favorites-

  From Emma-

And Adam-

 And Noah-

And Leah is officially a big girl- not a lot of cute how 'are you feeling' papers coming home with her anymore!  She brought home some awesome art though!
And that's okay- most of the papers get recycled anyway- out with the old and in with the new, and the new means summer!!!  This school year felt exceptionally long- maybe because we didn't take a family vacation in the middle of it?  Maybe because winter was so so so long?  The last day of school was literally the first day that the skies were blue and the kids didn't have to wear jackets all year!  Whatever the reason, it was a good year full of hard work and happy memories, and we were all more than ready for summer to arrive!
