Once in a while in January the skies are blue
and that makes playing outside even more fun!
This is how the kids prefer sledding.
And when they've gone down the hill 46 times each, we make our way down to the woods,
where wild animals can easily be spotted (including deer, cardinals, the local bald eagle, and this adorable baby lion cub!)
and we pose for a picture before running away from the Abominable Snowman!
Brave Laney keeps watch
and the sky turns pink
and we head back up to the house. What an adventure in our own backyard!
