Adam had an epic birthday celebration this year!
It was all about pugs and Chick-fil-a for this birthday boy!
And Legos.
And a little Pug-o-poly.
He had a 'party' with his very best friend Ben- an afternoon at Urban Air followed by a feast at Pizza Ranch.
These boys seem to be in a vertical competition- it's a guess every time they get together who will be taller this time!
The race is on at home too!
Although his well-child visit settled it. Having grown 4 inches over the last 12 months, Adam is officially taller than me.
The traditional birthday pictures!I'm starting to see this face more when I try to smother Adam with my love.
He's always happy to give lots of snuggles to his pup though!
He picked Zombie Burger for his birthday dinner date with Mom and Dad.
He wasn't thrilled about my request for him to play this downtown piano. Adam has been very Covid-conscious and wasn't all that interested in fingering a dirty street piano. But he let me take a picture!
And he requested an epic candy bar and ice cream birthday cake.
Which he insisted on lighting himself.
I'm guessing he wished for Legos... a wish that came true! He had to wait a few weeks for the latest and greatest sets to appear in stores before they appeared in our house, but he was happy to wait for what he wanted!
Overall it was an awesome birthday celebration for an awesome boy!
Adam is just chill. Not much riles him up, and not much stresses him out. He loves to think hard and take on challenges and has only recently begun to wonder if he could or should skip a grade in school (mostly because everyone his age at church is in 7th grade this year while he's still in elementary school). He's quiet around most people but is such a goofball of fun when he opens up. He is still entirely into Legos, followed by origami (still) and Lego Worlds and Minecraft and other building video games. He loves to jump on the trampoline and pop out and scare his siblings and ride his bike and play baseball and he fills our home with beautiful piano music. He is thoughtful- he still always always always holds the garage door open for me when we get home and he always always always says, "Good night Mommy, I love you, see you in the morning" at least 4 times every night when I tuck him in. He loves he challenge of school and learning about his deacons quorum duties and he has such a good heart! Our family is blessed because Adam is in it!
