Trek!

As soon as The Music Man was over, these cuties switched gears into pioneer mode and headed out on trek! Whoever was in charge of assigning family groups knew exactly where they needed to be, and they both had a great time with friends, pushing handcarts, camping out, square dancing, and eating so much good food. It was a perfect 21st century pioneer experience.
Look at all of these faithful pioneers!
The father was there too, and was one of the two pa's for Emma's family (their wives had both died, according to the lore).
Pioneer children sang as they walked
and walked
and walked
and walked
and walked
and walked
and walked
and waaaaaaalked.
Experiences like this help us remember all that our pioneer ancestors sacrificed to secure the religious freedoms that we enjoy today!

More CCM Pics

I know that Leah would have a billion more stories to tell with each of these pictures, but all I can blog about is what I see! And what I see is a beautiful, brave young woman surrounded by other aweome people who are doing amazing things in the Lord's kingdom!
Hermano Luna y Hermana Delgado!
Leah's first companion- Hermana Ballard!
I adore this one! I will go, I will do the things the Lord commands!
Leah called the CCM a leveled-up FSY meets girls camp, and I can see why! So many smiling faces and sweet spirits! And crafts and laughs too.
I think that Hermana Luna got engaged the night before this picture- these young ladies surely loved hearing all about that!
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
I love that Leah loves to look for the beauty all around her!
There were elders at the CCM, too. According to Leah, many of them were silly young boys. Accurate.
Leah loved the green and rain and the full days and focused schedule, and, like many things, was ready to move on when her time at the CCM was done! The Mexico City temple was closed while she was there, which was disappointing, but it was still a sweet and sacred experience to be there for a few weeks!

Short and Sweet

Hello everyone! Today is my pday because tomorrow I leave for Arizona! Well, more like today because my flight is at 5am and I have to be ready to go at 1am ðŸ«©but it'll be a great story once its over! And I'm all packed and ready to go so I don't have much more to worry about today. I have class soon, so here are some highlights of my last week in the CCM and a spiritual thought:

⭐️ Four Square: this week our district has been really into playing four square which is super fun especially when it gets a bit competitive - it feels like we're all at elementary school recess again!

⭐️ final devotional - they had a final meeting for all the people leaving but right as it started they announced that one hermanas flight had changed to right now. So she got up and left and we were all SO shocked and confused if it was for real. but then she came back in and it turned out to be a play and she was pretending to be experiencing her first day in the mission. So that was crazy for a second!

⭐️ Final Sunday - we had our last sacrament meeting at the CCM! Our district sang Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing and it cooked! The video is in my Google photos.

⭐️ Spanish exam - I cooked with my exam! Which means I actually understood what they were saying this time so my score went up!

⭐️ Last classes - we've been having chill classes since we finished the Spanish test and we've just been chatting and playing games for the most part! ️

Spiritual thought: I learned so much in my time at the CCM about Christlike love! Everyone in my district was such a good example to me of reaching out to the one, serving others, and having the light of Christ shine through them. We can all be good examples and you never know how much good you do!
Jesus loves you!
