A little kickball-
Because, when it's not raining, every spring night is a good night for a friendly family competition. Laney stole the show with her ball-chasing antics.
The trampoline is back up and in frequent use this spring!
Our virtual spring piano recital was a success!
Thanks to technology, I have been able to continue teaching some really sweet kids over the last year- including my own!
Our monthly piano payday incentive has kept up quite nicely, and it has been such a joy to hear music all day long in our house.
Adam and Leah went on a youth temple trip!
They had a very good time and were all laughter and smiles when they got home. 
And while they were gone, we got to take Emma and Noah on a double date!
We suggested going somewhere that the big kids might not be as interested in, and they aptly picked the jumping place.
We all had a great time, and they were the biggest kids there! I think it's safe to say we've nearly outgrown one of our old favorite jumping grounds.
We had our neighbors over- twice! They live behind us and came tromping out of the woods one Saturday afternoon. It was so fun to have friends appear! They are from Brazil and have only been her for a month or so at a time for the past few years, but now they are here for good so that the kids can learn English. Diego is 9 and Helena is 13, and that means fun for everyone!
We also invited them over for our Memorial Day brisketfest, and they brought us flowers and chocolates and cookies and marshmallows and gummy bears and Nutella bars and coconut candies and a big triple layer chocolate cake and I think it's safe to say that we're all glad to have neighbor friends to play with!
Emma, Noah, Adam and I spent a Sunday evening throwing rocks and collecting shells at Shark Lake, which is across the street, while Daddy and Leah were at seminary graduation.
And our Memorial Day ward breakfast was a fun chance to honor our veterans,
eat good food, and have some fun with friends! I saw Leah playing badminton, Adam and Noah climbing on the roof of the church shed, and Emma doing every craft and activity available. We made 300 pieces of bacon and 90 scrambled eggs for the breakfast, and came home with all of them. There was a LOT of food there!
And then we went on a bike ride! 5.5 miles this time, and the kids did great! Biking is a very big deal here in Iowa, and there are miles and miles of paths to chose from. This time we went downtown, past the baseball field, across the Racoon and Des Moines Rivers, and around Grays Lake. It's always fun to people watch as we go, and after this ride Leah declared that she much prefers country living to city life.
I'm glad we get to experience both!
