And boy did we celebrate!
Jason's birthday was on Sunday this year, so we just made the whole weekend a celebration! We had three families over for ice cream cake and games and a whole lot of laughs one night.
My friend took this picture, so we're both in it!
On Sunday morning Jason had meetings, but we still enjoyed a birthday breakfast together before sending him out the door to serve others. (Emma and Noah are in that hug, too, just tucked behind the blanket!)
Including presents, hidden with clues of course! Jason loves surprises, sometimes even more than the gift itself, and this year's biggest surprise was a hit with everyone- a new tree swing!
And the weather was perfect for testing it out. Look at Daddy not acting his age at all!
Not pictured would be dinner with friends at a Brazilian steakhouse, the massage he enjoyed, our lunch date, and the delicious dinner we enjoyed on his actual birthday before driving around to deliver the giant Christmas poinsettias that we give the stake presidency every year. Because nothing says happy birthday Daddy-style like serving others!
Happy birthday to Daddy! The rock of our family, the one who has dedicated his entire life to providing for the six of us, who works so hard in ways that we don't even see but very much appreciate, the best partner that I could have asked for in life!
Adam made a prediction at dinner the other night that Daddy's hair would be entirely gray in the next 10 years, and Daddy said he would probably start shaving it all off long before then. It's fun to grow old together, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for us!
