It was Adam's turn to place the star this year!
Don't mind me while I sob about the fact that he only has one more turn to do the job, and he will be 16 when it happens.
He's grown so much this year, and especially in the last few weeks!
And out came all of the other favorite Christmas decorations!
Ooh, hello old friend. Laney takes down one plastic ornament ball a year, and then she leaves the Christmas decorations alone entirely.
But boy is it all tempting!
Adam has a new trumpet ornament!
And Emma has a cello!
Hooray for 3D glasses (which did have to go into timeout at one point, it's not all candy canes and snowballs over here).
And boy are the few small Christmas Lego sets that appeared with the Christmas decorations extra exciting because we haven't been playing with them all year long.
The glow of the Christmas lights invites peace into our home that feels more essential than ever with everyone coming and going with all hours of school, seminary, and activities galore.
