Daddy took Emma, Adam, and Leah to the temple! We went for early this month because we have big temple plans next month.
The tulips are beautiful but these beaming faces are even more beautiful! Leah officially declared the 'small, calm, familiar' Winter Quarters temple her favorite.
Noah finished reading the Book of Mormon this month! He was so proud and it happened to be on a night that he was keeping me company while Daddy was out of town so I even got a picture of it. What a fantastic accomplishment!
This is the month of concerts! For Emma, chorus, band and orchestra!

The boys were at Adam's baseball game during Emma's band concert, so it was a girls night out!
Leah even treated Emma to some ice cream.
Randomly, Laney got some new toys this month. This savage little crabby is up to something.
The crabapple tree in our front yard has exploded back to life again!
May the 4th be a day worth celebrating!
Noah had a lovely 3rd grade music concert- he did a fantastic job playing the recorder, the xylophone, dancing, and singing. It was one of the best elementary school concerts I've been to!
They used finger lights to move along to Camille Saint-Saen's Aquarium!
Adam's May days were filled with baseball, music and magic tricks!
He delighted everyone at my spring piano recital (me most of all!) with A Million Dreams and All of Me. The venue was gorgeous but the piano was only mediocre so we probably won't be returning to this nursing home.
I've been loving being outside and back on the trails again- biking or walking, alone or with a friend, I'm just so very happy that winter is over.
Sometimes Laney just looks like a loaf of fluff.
One of the best sights of spring where we live is the shoreline of purple blossoms on the lake. One Saturday morning Leah and I set out to see them up close. Thanks to the fingers of the lake it took waaaay longer to walk over to the blossoms than it would have if we had just kayaked across the lake, but we had a fantastic time along the way.
Ooh! A secret tunnel appeared to be the only way to the blossom-lined shoreline.
But it turned out to be way too dense with no manageable trail. We just had to enjoy the blossoms from the backside of the shoreline, which was still quite lovely!
One of my favorite signs of spring with one of my very favorite girls!
