May meant more signs of spring, including walks with the pup, scootering, and blossoms everywhere! Our neighborhood looked like frozen fireworks this spring.
More music concerts- with heels on Emma and flats on me she is officially taller than I am!

We made orange slice bird feeders to attract more Baltimore oriels to our yard. It worked!

The last weekend before school let out, the kids and I had a delightful afternoon picnic at the arboretum.
They gave me flowers!
We all agreed that our picnic location looked like A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat.
Adam has been working on uploading headstones into the Billion Graves app, including these worn down ones from the 1800s.
And we did some geocaching. Adam was so brave to duck into the bushes and fish the prized geocache out of a giant dead tree trunk.
Before school let out Daddy and I squeezed in one more daytime temple trip.
We had a dinner meeting with them on Friday, a full day of meetings and meals on Saturday, and a surprise lunch at our house after the general meeting on Sunday. In our home, after a full weekend, Elder Firmage complimented each of the kids. He told Leah she was trailblazing as the oldest child and setting an excellent example for her siblings, he told Adam that he is a good young man, Noah that he is a deep thinker, and Emma that she is a spunky ray of sunshine. He was accurate on all counts. Having regular interactions with general authorities and leaders is one of the greatest blessings our family receives in the stake president calling.

Robotics day at Celebr-asian downtown! It was so hot!
We watched a 'real dog' in May- she had an awesome backyard and her big barks and claws and tail and chasing sticks all reminded us what a cat-like dog Laney really is.
We have reopened everyone's favorite room in the house in May- the sunroom. One night Adam and Emma decided to sleep out there.
Laney kept watch over her little ones all night long.
I didn't hear a peep from any of them until morning!
Emma was worried about rolling off the couch so Adam built her a 'crib' and she slept like a baby!
My morning walks have been delightfully rewarding this spring.
Even with the occasional short-legged companion,
even with all the poplar puff flying everywhere,
especially when I have a buddy by my side!
May was a happy, happy month!
