Twice a year we "skip" church in favor of general conference, a worldwide broadcast attended by all 16 million+ Mormons around the world to sing, learn and listen to the word of God from His prophet on earth today.
In our home it means two days of puzzles, cinnamon rolls, crafts, nail polish, lots of candy and snuggles.
And every time it seems like the conference is just beginning when, just like that, it's over again for another six months.
But we always come away with the resolve to be better than we were before. There were many talks on service, and strengthening families, and being a true disciple of Christ. We've got work to do!
