Laney Bear had her first birthday!
So, of course, we had a party, complete with a pup cake, which she loved,
(and these silly kids tried to eat)
and presents, which she also loved!
I think it's safe to say we have a fairly spoiled little one-year-old in our house.
We just love her so much!
I think everyone in our family feels like Laney is "their" dog. She has a special relationship with each of us- wrestling with Daddy, snuggles and tricks with Adam, snuggles with Leah, snuggles and dress-ups with Emma, snuggles and smallest family companionship with Noah, and giver of life necessities and daytime companionship with me.
One thing is for sure- Laney brings JOY into our family. Whether it's watching her lick peanut butter off her lips or racing around to pick up her "poodles" from the yard, teaching her new tricks or getting a rush of endorphins while snuggling her sweet fur, seeing her excitement when you return home after a long day or the way she looks at you and doesn't say anything but still makes you feel loved, Laney brings another layer of happiness to our family.
It's been a good and hard year full of learning for all of us, but we are so happy with the choice we made last year to bring this hairy little critter into our home!
