Memory Lane

One day while we were in Utah we headed to Provo!
Leah and I enjoyed a morning in the very busy temple
while Jason took Adam, Emma and Noah to the place that Leah and I spent many of our days while Daddy was working on his Masters at BYU- the Provo Library!
It looks like it is just as magical now as it ever was.
Look out for that dragon!
Just give me a good book and I'm happy anywhere.
Once we met back up it was over to J-Dawgs for some delicious lunch,
and off to BYU for some apparel, fudge, and chocolate covered cinnamon bears.
We might live in Cyclone/Hawkeye land, but we're Cougs in this house!
Next stop, of course was past our lovely first apartment, the Brown Apartment.  It hasn't changed much on the outside, and for us the inside it was filled with lessons of frugality, sacrifice, determination, commitment, and faith for our fledgling family of two back in 2004.
Up past BYU and the MTC and the beautiful Provo Temple,
and we even swung by Old Mill, the apartment complex where we met.
Our first hand hold and our first kiss happened (on separate occasions!) on that balcony right above our heads.  My apartment was on the second floor to the left, and Jason's was across the parking lot.  I think we probably could have seen each other out our bedroom windows if we wanted to.  When we were dating texting was still very new (limited to 300 texts a month), and there were no smart phones, so when we said good night we were done talking until the next morning, when we had usually already made plans to meet up for the next day.  If not we called each other on the phone to make plans.  That feels like a pretty foreign concept these days but that was the way it worked back then!

It's always fun to take a trip down memory lane!
