"Autumn is a second spring, when every leaf becomes a flower."
– Albert Camus
Where we live, the amazing Northern Lights are becoming more and more common.
"Autumn glows upon us like a splendid evening; it is the very sunset of the year."
– Mary Russell Mitford
How beautiful the leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days."
– John Burroughs
We accidentally completed the FFFF this year- with friends! Noah and two of his buddies helped us wind down the fire burning season with all of the critical elements of the FFFF- fire, roasted foods (a first for his buddies.... how?!), fun, and a chill in the air reminding us that winter is coming again.
Some nights where we live are perfectly spooky.
Did you hear about the ghost who became fog? He will be mist.
We pass these cows every time we leave our house. My cows!
We know winter is fast approaching when the deer start gathering up in our yard, sometimes for a sleepover!
There's a house in the middle of the woods....
that is slowly getting ready for winter.
