Lazy Summer Days

What we do when it's too hot to play outside...

Face paint!

 Or hand paint ("It's a ladybug crawling through the grass!")

 Buttons are mesmerizing-

 Snipping projects-("I nipped - triangle!")

And sewing projects are too.

I tend to think that I am offering my kids the most enriching experiences when we are out and about- at the library, the zoo, or the park.  But thankfully, crafty days at home can be just as enjoyable for all of us.  While Leah and and Adam were sifting through the magical button collection at one point during our "lazy" afternoon, I heard Leah say, "I love you Adam."

He replied, "I wuv you, too, Eeh-Ah."

I think that means the day was a success.
