Grammy Q came for a visit in June! We had a full week of life and fun while she was here, starting out at the pool!
She came out this week specifically so she could see Adam and Emma perform in the summer musical, but that meant we didn't get to spend much time with them during the day.
But the rest of us had a great time together! I just really want everyone else to love DSM as much as we do, so we couldn't help but spend one afternoon downtown exploring the Better Homes and Garden test garden,
the Papajohn Sculpture Park,
and enjoying an amazing lunch at our new favorite lunch place- Allora Cafe. We're already dreaming about future wedding receptions here-
While Jason and I were in Pella, she helped with getting one of our biggest summer to-do's checked off the list- strawberry jam! Grammy Q was the one who first helped me make jam back when we lived in Indiana, and it is one of our tastiest secrets to surviving Midwest winters!
And Emma made some treats too!
Jason's work is starting to rev up, but he and his mom spent a few hours checking out the bridges of Madison County,
we went to the Cheesecake Factory,
and all around just loved having her with us for a few days!
