Oh, Adam

After a stern lecture on safety and the resulting consequences that will follow any infractions, Adam can still be found jumping off tables, bookshelves, chairs and couches.  I reminded him today that he was not being safe.

"But Mom!" he said.  "I didn't even fall and crack my head open!"

"Yes", I replied.  "But you might get hurt.  And then what?"

"And what if there was broken glass all over the floor and we were cut wide open?  Then what!?  So just stop worrying about silly things, okay Mommy?"

If only it were that easy...

I was so surprised to see that Adam wrote his name for the first time last week.  He is such a little sponge- he soaks up everything I think I am teaching Leah and loves to compare skills with her- counting to 100 by tens, addition, ABC's, spelling his name.  It's adorable.

Adam's favorite chores are vacuuming out the car, using the dust buster and picking lint out of the dryer.  He focused for a solid 15 minutes on the task today, and pulled out an impressive pile of fuzz as a result.
