39 Weeks

Did you ever hear someone tell you a story about themselves during which you smile and nod but think, "That would NEVER happen to me" or "I would NEVER do that" and then later you do the exact same thing and have to go back and tell that person that you are sorry for judging them and that yes, the exact same thing has, indeed happened to you?

No? Just me?

The same friend that I had to apologize to years ago for judging how quickly she got married- which I think was just around the same timeline that I followed just months later- gave me so great advice today on how to get through these last days of pregnancy after recently giving birth to her third.  Because I NEVER thought I would still be pregnant today.  And it's been killing me.  And no, I'm not past due, or even due yet.  Never say never, right?  Either way, she said-

"Just keep busy and assume every day is NOT the day you're going into labor."
That's my new mantra.

Sorry folks, but today is not the day.

I loved this picture and post! I'm tired of being pregnant and still have TWO MONTHS left, I was feeling sorry for myself until I read your blog tonight and thought, "Melanie is doing it, I can keep going!". Hoping all goes well in the coming days, thinking of you.

Good advice! I tried to keep really busy last winter and I think that made those last few months go by more quickly--but I was also very swollen and exhausted:).

Ah, I'm sorry. It SO sucks being pregnant when you're really just done with the whole thing :P

ps-I totally had to apologize to my sister after swearing I'd never wash my kids' mouth out with soap.
