Party time for Emma! This sweet girl loves planning and preparing for her birthday more than anyone else I know!
Her sweet brothers let her practice hair tinsel on them.
And the party was so much fun, even though, somehow, only one of her school friend's was able to make it this year. The rest were from church!
Party Queen!
Emma's not a huge fan of cake, so we had candles in popcorn instead.
Emma's actual birthday was on Sunday this year. Her party was on Friday, and on Saturday we had a YSA bonfire at our house. Leah made sure everyone knew it was Emma's birthday.
We went to The Chicken for her birthdate!
Girls on one side, boy on the other.
Breakfast in bed, even though she was already ready for church. We visited the Oskaloosa Branch on her birthday. She made some new friends from there at FSY this summer.
That afternoon we had the family birthday dinner at Milky Way cake!
We're both wearing heels, but I'm pretty sure Emma is officially taller than me now.
She is my best girly!
We love you Emma Grace! You are an excellent teenager who is fun, funny, thoughtful, kind, creative and sweet! Emma is friends with everyone, knows how to make people laugh, looks out for people who are lonely or alone, and has a fashion sense that sparkles!
Emma loves doing nails, wrapping her hair up in crazy sock curl creations, and is always looking for ways to elevate her style and her environment. People are naturally drawn to Emma, just as they always have been!
I especially love that Emma matches my crazy energy unlike anyone else in our family. We have so much fun being crazy together!
Emma Grace, your light shines bright! Happy 14th birthday, sweet girl!
