Not much of our celebrating was done in person this year, but we still had a great time spending the season with so many of our favorite people.
We had to have another "class party", which the kids informed me afterwards wasn't quite as fun as the fall party. Perhaps that was because it was sandwiched in between the 12 days of Christmas and the 25 days of Christ and the general Christmas excitement and countdown, and this cheerful little elf was getting just a bit worn out, but I assured them that there was plenty of fun to be had this month.
The class party included 3 parts- treats by the fire, visiting with cousins, and an activity- pug racers for the boys and candle-making for the girls.
It was colder outside that it looked, and we were all happy to head back inside quickly!
I held another virtual piano recital, and drove to everyone's houses the week before to drop off the traditional ornaments and treats. It was so sweet to see all of my students share their hard work and talents.
And later that night I had a virtual favorite things party with some of my Ankeny friends. It was fun to give and recieve some great favorite things!
We have been super social distancing over the last two months, but when we were all about to crack we invited our best friends over to play... and collect deer bones from the woods.
Adam's best friend Ben loves Laney just as much as we do!
Emma and Little Leah entertained themselves by making lots of videos,
and Leah and Sarah made some delicious cookies.
The pug team together again!
We also had a delightful number of friends stop by with all kinds of Christmas goodies and received lots of cards in the mail and exciting packages from grandmas and cousins and all around felt very loved by so many of our favorite people this Christmas season.
