Preparing for a multi-week cross-country trip is never my idea of a good time... But once we were ready to go, everyone was thrilled! Until about 5 AM the next morning. We ended up leaving the evening before we originally planned, stopping somewhere in Nebraska for a few hours sleep, and then getting back in the car early the next morning. That served as a great reminder that "band-aid" style is the way to approach the trip- just rip it off in one long day.
Once we arrived we confirmed what I'd suspected- Leah is officially taller than her grandma.
We had family pictures the next day- with all 24 of us!- and finally got to meet sweet baby Juniper. She is such a squishy little doll!
There was a bit of chaos with that many people, but we ended up with some pretty cute pictures!
And lucky Adam got to try out his first Harry Potter candies.
We also got to tour the Missionary Training Center in Provo. Jason spent 6 weeks there learning Spanish and preparing to serve in Bolivia. Some day our kids will go there too!
The new buildings are beautiful, and full of pictures of depictions of Christ and other prophets from the scriptures.
The MTC isn't usually open to visitors, so that was a neat and unique experience.

And that evening we had an adults-only family dinner with all of our family and Spencer's family. I wish I had more pictures of that night- but all I can find is this picture of my hairy little brother Jared imparting wisdom to the bride to be. We siblings had so much fun visiting together and laughing about all of the things we all "knew" when we were newlyweds. Such a fun time!
